Eric Brush
Owner / Founder · Sales · Marketing
Eric has an extensive background in the marine industry, starting with a degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Miami. He built and raced offshore boats during college, where his mechanical and repair experience began. From there he earned his 100-Ton Master Captain license and went on to run sportfish and center console boats for several years. During that time he also worked for a few boat builders. He founded Smart Marine Solutions in 2010, building, restoring, and managing boats — a business that grew out of a love for sportfish and center console boats and became what is today Sportfish Outfitters. He loves getting to grow a business surrounded by friends in the industry.
Weston Albury
Sales & Parts Specialist
Weston grew up in The Bahamas between Grand Bahama and Abaco and now lives in North Palm Beach. He grew up surrounded by the family business — Albury's Ferry Service — and learned how to drive and work on boats from a young age. After college at Stetson University, he went back to the Bahamas to learn the family business, managing charters, maintenance scheduling, parts ordering, and occasionally running the ferry boats. That experience taught him the maintenance side of things — knowledge he uses every day on parts and special-order items at Sportfish Outfitters. After Hurricane Dorian he moved to South Florida and started working part-time at Sportfish, eventually moving into a full-time role.
Nicole Scotti
General Manager & Sales
Nicole grew up in Palm Beach Gardens and now lives in Tequesta. She spent her childhood record-fishing as an IGFA junior angler and has continued tournament fishing up and down the East Coast, the Bahamas, and Costa Rica. An accomplished angler, she grew up fishing with her captain father and learning from some of the best in the industry. Her favorite tournament each year is the Los Sueños Triple Crown for the competition, camaraderie, and location. When she's not fishing, she's spending time with friends, working out, and finding the best happy hour in Jupiter. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and networking make her a great general manager — she specializes in building customer relationships and outfitting new boats.
Shelby Smykay
Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Shelby was born and raised in North Palm Beach, Florida. From a young age she's been on the water boating, fishing, and doing water sports. Alongside her role at Sportfish Outfitters, she's attending Palm Beach State College, studying to become an orthodontist. She's been with us since August of 2023 and runs shipping and receiving at the shop.
Kasey Hmiel
Product & Inventory Coordinator
Kasey was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, in a family centered on the water. A lifelong boater and surfer, he previously handled inventory management and purchasing at a large local surf shop. Kasey is a great addition to our team and puts Sportfish Outfitters in a strong position for growth. He's full-time with us while also pursuing a career in the medical field — he's already an EMT and is studying to become a Paramedic. When he's not working or studying, he's usually with his wife and their two adorable daughters.
