2019 Holiday Gift Guide
All year long we spend money on our boats, because, well, they are always breaking or we are simply trying to keep them nice. We sell a ton of marine maintenance supplies and parts throughout the year at Sportfish Outfitters but we are also gear junkies. The holidays are a time of year we get to to think about the fun stuff we sell that makes great gifts. It’s all of the stuff we secretly want for ourselves here at Sportfish Outfitters! There are a boat load of insulated cups on the market today but we are always trying to find what we feel are the best products. We think corkcicle has nailed it with all of their designs. Their canteen is like drinking out of a water bottle. The tumblers have a perfect taper for cupholders and flat sides for good grip. Their mugs are absolutely the perfect size with a handle that feels like a regular mug. And, to top it all off, they have some custom limited edition print designs like nothing we have ever seen. Kuuma Grills
We have been putting a Kuuma 216 small propane grill to the test here at the shop every Friday for lunch with an adjustable rod holder mount. We also have used it at our sandbar movie night and out on the boat at the local sandbar. It fires up on the first try every time and gets to over 500 degrees within minutes. Garmin 86sc Series Handheld
It’s been a while since we were excited about a handheld GPS. Garmin has taken a ton of features and put them into one small package. There are so many intuitive options that allow you to use a handheld in ways you never thought possible. Wireless capabilities give you control of Fusion stereo and autopilot controls on the boat. Full integration with your network shows a full heads up display right on your handheld. Bluetooth phone integration with an app gives you even more options. Garmin Inreach Mini
We all aspire to spend more time off the grid! Finally there’s a simple two way satellite messaging device that pairs with your phone. So if you want to stay in touch while off the grid or just want to be safe in case of an emergency. Personally we would just upgrade to the Garmin 86 Series with built in Inreach capability but if you just want to use your phone with a paired satellite messenger and data device this is your answer. Subsafe
