OLAS Exposure Series T2
The OLAS T2 is a waterproof, compact, rechargeable transmitter that can be tracked by any OLAS Receiver. Integrated vibration and light indication ensure awareness of the tag status throughout its operation.
If the crew leaves the vessel or falls overboard, the alarm will be triggered. OLAS then offers clear guidance to the remaining crew, aiding in a successful MOB recovery and communication with emergency services. For increased versatility, the T2 is supplied with a silicone wrist strap and a safety-break neck lanyard with a silicone holder.
When combined with the OLAS Guardian or the OLAS N2K, the T2 can also be used to stop and lock the engines when the Smart Lock feature in the OLAS app is utilized.
The OLAS T2 Tags are compatible with all OLAS receivers. After seconds of the tag ‘breaking’ connection with an OLAS receiver, the crew is alerted, and, if connected, the MOB rescue screen is activated on the OLAS app.
Track multiple tags, customize the names, and monitor battery life within the OLAS app. Up to 6 OLAS T2 can be tracked directly using the OLAS mobile app. Up to 25 OLAS T2 can be tracked by the OLAS receivers, the Guardian, or the Core.
What it does:
Track with the OLAS mobile application
Within 8 seconds of a man overboard incident occurring, the OLAS mobile application technology detects a break in its ‘virtual tether’ to the tag. The mobile phone(s) then sound a loud alarm, alerting the crew to the fact someone is overboard. OLAS then aids the crew with the MOB recovery, clearly directing them to the GPS location where the MOB occurred with clear visual signals and bearing data. OLAS stores all location data and time of incident required by the rescue services.
Track with the OLAS N2K, Guardian, or Core (Vessels up to 50ft)
Connect up to 15 OLAS transmitters (OLAS tag or OLAS Float-On) to any OLAS receiver. Alternatively, connect up to 25 OLAS T2 transmitters. Within 2 seconds of the connection breaking, the MOB alert will activate, alerting the crew to the incident.
Features:
Powerful OLAS App Features for Added Safety:
The OLAS mobile app offers additional features that further enhance safety on the water:
Solo Mode: For boaters operating inshore or on vessels with offshore connectivity, the Solo Mode enables automatic SOS messaging. In case of a MOB event, a distress SMS is sent to users' pre-entered emergency number, containing essential information about the vessel.
TrackBack and Last Seen Location: The OLAS app generates an easy-to-follow direction arrow and distance record to help rescuers return to the MOB location. The latitude and longitude of the MOB alert are also displayed, enabling effective coordination with rescue services or nearby vessels.
Automatic VHF Mayday Information: The app automatically generates a VHF script that includes the vessel's information and the last seen location data. This ensures an accurate Mayday call can be issued over VHF, maximizing the chances of a swift rescue.
OLAS Smart Lock: The Smart Lock acts as a secondary key system, locking the vessel's kill switch system to limit the risk of opportunistic theft and restricting use to Smart key holders or those with the Guardian’s access PIN. Any OLAS tag or Float-On can be allocated as a Smart Key within the OLAS app. If the user arrives at the boat with a ‘Smart Key’ allocated OLAS tag or OLAS Float-On the Guardian will automatically unlock. If users don’t have an allocated Smart Key with them, then the OLAS mobile app can be used to unlock the Guardian using the custom access pin code.
